"I believe that literature and art provide a form of expression that transcends mere verbal communication. Many times we may feel inadequate in expressing how we feel directly, but through the use of art, poetry, fiction, or even photography, we can capture and convey to others what was unexplainable. Literature and art also help us to expand our horizons and seek to balance out our lives, to find richness and goodness, especially at times when we seem overwhelmed by the demands of our work."
