The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R)
offers a three-year accredited Residency Programs for applicants
who have completed a one-year internship. The physicians who specialize
in PM&R are called physiatrists. They treat a multitude of
musculoskeletal and neurological problems with the goal of restoring
optimal function to people. They utilize a host of approaches
such as drugs, assistive devices, hot and cold therapies, electrotherapies,
massage, biofeedback, traction and therapeutic exercise. |
