Research
Research is an essential function of every division in the Department of Medicine. With nearly 300 active research protocols, the department has the largest research scope at the university. Substantial funding from the National Institutes of Health makes much of this possible. more

Education
The Department of Medicine educates undergraduate and graduate students as well as providing continuing medical education for practicing physicians. Our programs offer quality education, diverse clinical experiences and ample opportunities to engage in research activities.

Clinical Services
The University of California, Irvine Medical Center is the primary site for the Department of Medicine’s clinical program. Outpatient services are also available at several other locations around Orange County. more
