Application : Adult Psychiatry Program
The University of California Irvine Psychiatry Residency Program is a participant in both the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) and the National Residency Matching Program. We have eight positions open for each PGY-I class.

Please make sure the following information is included with your ERAS application:

  • A letter from the Dean of your medical school
  • 3 letters of recommendation (preferably from attendings in primary care and psychiatry)
  • School transcripts
  • USMLE scores for both Part I and preferably Part II
  • ECFMG certificate - International medical graduates must meet ECFMG certification requirements

Faculty review all applications received. Interviews will be granted on a competitive basis. To schedule the interviews, we will contact you either by phone or by email. Please notify us of any changes in your contact information.
