Long Beach Veterans Affairs Healthcare System

The Long Beach Veterans Affairs Healthcare System is one of the largest veterans' hospitals in the country with 1,034 licensed beds. The patient population of LBVAHS reflects the kinds of disease typical of U.S. veterans who are primarily males with cardiovascular, pulmonary, gastrointestinal, urologic and neoplastic disorders. Residents assist in adult reconstructive surgery.
Children's Hospital of Orange County

Children's Hospital of Orange County is a nonprofit facility situated adjacent to St. Joseph Hospital. It has 192 beds: 35 intensive care, 124 medical/surgical and 32 neonatal intensive care. CHOC's Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Pediatrics are closely affiliated with the UCI College of Medicine. Two orthopaedic resident rotation positions are located here.
Mission Hospital of Orange County

Mission Hospital is south Orange County's largest hospital and one of three trauma centers in Orange County. It is a 338 bed acute care, full service facility that includes a Trauma Center, Heart Center, Spine Center, Vascular Center, and Children's Hospital of Orange County (CHOC). Two orthopadic resident rotation positions are located here.
