dedicated student case conferences. The student lectures will
include topics such as chest & abdominal pain, respiratory & trauma
care, pediatric fever, EKG/X-ray interpretation in a clinical case
review format. You will have the opportunity and will be expected to
actively participate in these student lectures. You will have the
opportunity to perform procedures under supervision such as incision
and drainage, suturing, ultrasound guided central line placement and
paracentesis.
We
hope to provide every student with an interactive atmosphere
conducive to learning with ample faculty teaching and feedback to
make this the best clerkship rotation for you.
We also provide experience in
emergency ultrasonography and opportunities for research.
