I. Introduction of IOC members and CIC visitors.

II. Approval of minutes of September 1.

III. Financial report (E. Lewis): Phase II funds ($4761) from RWJF funds and those remaining from BRN Phase II ($4336) have been retained and will be used to offset printing costs for the final report, framework documents; Stage II Phase III RWJF funds remaining (9/30/99): $59,000; receipt of $10,000 from OSHPD will help support salary for K. Sechrist and for printing the data document (final report Phase II).

Discussion of prices for documents (final report, differentiated practice framework): set at $60 for both instate ($35 each); suggestions for out of state price: $50 each or 2 for $95; CIC sites will need rate reduction; because of goal for both dissemination and for money, no variation between individual vs. organizational prices.

IV. Summit Report (J. Harlow): 838 people registered; 18 sponsors; IOC group asked to disperse among attendees; also to check among attendees for questions; all were encouraged to enjoy the event.

NurseWeek will not be participating; Ellen Lewis to submit article.

V. CIC Report (E. Lewis): Sarah, Ellen, and project staff plan to meet following Summit with CIC visitors for general debriefing and next steps.

VI. Update on latest data analysis (Karen Sechrist) - members are referred to the Final Report document.

VII. Phase III Teams

VIII. RWJF/CIC comments (E. Brzytwa, M. Rapson) - pleased to be attending Summit; want to credit CSPCN/CIC for showing leadership with the Summit and two impressive documents; amazed and pleased at the consensus across the state.

IX. Next steps - grant opportunities; Fuld call - for projects who are not in current funding cycles; $100,000 implementation phase might be possible; student benefits need to be stressed; opportunity to write grant; group consensus to consult with Karen Sechrist/Dana Rutledge to write; funds would help to support demonstration projects and to build joint faculty workshops.

X. Notes on Nursing - anecdote; Florence Nightengale did the first workforce study; average age of nurses in England 50-55; some worked into their 80's!!

Respectfully submitted, Dana Rutledge
