Fellowship Curriculum

Fellows receive longitudinal experiences in:

• Primary outpatient geriatrics
• Comprehensive geriatric assessment
• Subacute and long term care
• Home hospice
• Assisted living
• Ambulatory neurology clinics

Other block rotations include:

• Inpatient geriatric consultation
• Subacute care
• Geriatric rehabilitation
• Urogynecology
• Dermatology

Teaching Opportunities Include

• Journal Club and Case Presentations
• Formal lectures for internal medicine and family medicine residents
• Informal lectures and group facilitation for medical students in the Student Senior Partner Program.
• Voluntary role mentoring residents and students on geriatric rotations.

Research

• Typical of one-year geriatric fellowships, original research is not emphasized.
• However, fellows are encouraged and supported with research interests they might wish to pursue.
