Project Scientist Positions 


 

Openings are anticipated throughout the year in the Department of Anatomy and Neurobiology at the University of California, Irvine for non-tenured, academic term appointments in the Project Scientist series (Assistant, Associate and/or full Project Scientist). These Ph.D.-level research positions are under the sponsorship of the faculty members listed below.  Salaries for the Project Scientist Series are competitive and commensurate with experience, starting at $49,100 per year.

Richard Robertson Developmental neurobiology of cerebral cortex
Martin Smith Regulation of gene expression during synapse formation
Ivan Soltesz Electrophysiology, computational modeling and neuroanatomy of hippocampal interneurons: plasticity, febrile seizures and post-traumatic epilepsy
Oswald Steward Genetic modulation of regeneration, synapse growth and plasticity
