Since its beginning, the University of California at Irvine has been a leader in the field of neuroscience.

Today, over 100 UCI faculty members, in the School of Medicine, the School of Biological Sciences, and the School of Social Sciences are working in the field of neuroscience.

The quality of their work has been outstanding. Results of recent survey ranked UCI among the
top 6 neuroscience institutions in the world*

In addition UCI recently was
ranked 8th in the list of top US public universities.

Graduate training can be undertaken in:

  • The School of Biological Sciences / School of Medicine in the Neurobiology Track
  • The School of Biological Science, Department of Neurobiology & Behavior
  • The School of Social Sciences, Department of Cognitive Sciences
  • The Department of Pharmacology
